Shark Lure and Diabolic Worms
Introduced with the Summer Sweep Up update and the Yama encounter, these two skill resources make fishing faster — especially for Irons.
- Shark Lure: Increases the catch rate of sharks.
- Diabolic Worms: Boosts anglerfish catch rate.
Both can be used in set amounts per attempt, letting you control efficiency and resource usage. They’re not profitable (raw sharks and anglers have low margins), but they’re solid quality-of-life tools for anyone looking to stock up on food faster.
Just note: increased catch rates slightly reduce your chance of rolling the Fishing Pet.
Desiccated Pages
At first glance, Desiccated Pages from the Royal Titans seemed like junk — until players realized their hidden potential.
When converted at special plinths across Gielinor, these pages transform into elemental tome charges (fire, water, or earth), saving you the need to revisit Wintertodt, Tempoross, or the Wol.
For Ironmen, this is an amazing resource loop, letting you recharge tomes using drops from other PvM encounters. You can even sacrifice Titan loot to gain more pages, averaging 10–19 per KC.
Arkan Blade
The Arkan Blade, obtained after the Final Dawn quest, is a midgame melee weapon designed as an alternative to the Dragon Scimitar.
While its raw stats are slightly weaker, its special attack – Flames of Rallos – increases your next attack’s accuracy and damage by 50%, and applies a burning DoT for 40 seconds.
It’s ideal for mid-tier players or quest bosses that require both slash and stab flexibility — making it more versatile than the Scimitar, which leans heavily on slash bonuses.
Sta ckable Clue Scrolls
One of the most requested QoL features in OSRS finally arrived in 2025.
Players can now stack up to five clues of each type (using Scroll Cases earned from clue completions). This allows you to collect and store multiple scrolls without juggling or dropping them on the ground — a dream for clue hunters and collection log enthusiasts.
It’s a simple change, but one that saves hours of tedium and makes clue grinding far smoother.
Ether Runes
After the release of Yama, Ether Runes became the newest addition to RuneCrafting. By using an Ether Catalyst at the Cosmic Altar, soul and cosmic runes combine into Ether Runes, which power spells across the Arceuus spellbook.
These are especially useful for PvM setups involving Death Charge and Thralls, since the rune combination conserves inventory space.
With a level 90 RuneCrafting requirement, Ether Runes are now one of the best money-makers for high-level skillers — offering variety beyond Bloods and ZMI.
Royal Titan Prayer Scrolls
The Royal Titans dropped two key midgame prayers:
- Deadeye (from Eldritch): boosts Ranged strength and accuracy, requiring 62 Prayer.
- Mystic Vigor (from Branda): upgrades Magic accuracy and defense, requiring 63 Prayer.
Before these, players needed to grind Chambers of Xeric for Rigor and Augury. These scrolls bridge that daunting gap, giving Irons and midgame accounts strong, accessible upgrades.
Rite of Vile Transference
One of Yama’s most powerful rewards, this item changes how Death Charge works.
Once read, it allows Death Charge to trigger from two kills instead of one, restoring 30% special attack energy per cast.
This synergizes perfectly with Lightbearer rings and special attack weapons, making it an incredible item for PvM efficiency — especially in boss fights with frequent adds or multi-kill potential.
Avernic Treads
Dropped by the Doom of Mokayato, these are the new best-in-slot boots in OSRS, surpassing Primordial, Eternal, and Pegasian Boots.
They can be upgraded by feeding the three original Cerberus boots into them, using Demonic Tears in the process.
For the first time in almost a decade, the boot meta changed — and these will likely remain BiS indefinitely unless Jagex introduces passive-effect boots in the distant future.
Twinflame Staff
Also obtained from the Royal Titans, the Twinflame Staff has revolutionized early- and midgame Magic training.
Requiring 60 Magic, it fires two elemental blasts per cast, greatly increasing DPS against monsters with elemental weaknesses. It’s particularly good for Ironmen who haven’t yet unlocked Tridents or higher-tier staves.
Even endgame players use it to quickly clear Titan elementals or other low-defense mobs. For its accessibility and damage boost, the Twinflame Staff is easily one of 2025’s standout items.
Eye of the A.A.K.
Finally, the most influential item of 2025: the Eye of the A.A.K., also from the Doom of Makayato.
This weapon bridges the gap between mid-tier and high-tier magic — sitting comfortably between the Trident/Sanguinesti Staff and Tumeken’s Shadow.
Its 3-tick attack speed and synergy with Confliction Gauntlets make it terrifyingly effective. The gauntlets’ passive lets you roll a second accuracy check if you miss, giving the Eye incredible consistency and damage output.
In certain bosses, it even outperforms the Shadow, especially where faster attacks matter more than raw power. It’s affordable, flexible, and the perfect stepping stone for any aspiring PvM mage.
Honorable Mention – Confliction Gauntlets
Crafted with the Makayotal Cloth and a Tormented Bracelet, these gloves turned magic DPS on its head. They grant a double accuracy roll on missed hits — essentially a mini Osmumten’s Fang effect for mages.
So strong, in fact, that Jagex had to prevent them from working with Tumeken’s Shadow to stop it from becoming absurdly overpowered.
For mains and Irons alike, they’re a must-have upgrade for serious magic users.
